Inkjet star with a brilliant bouquet of innovations
The versatile Impala inkjet machine is dolled up for the show: light C and light M join the standard CMYK colour channels, accentuated by a new orange spot colour, and rounded off by varnish and white. Outfitted with the existing roll option plus a new board option, this star printer is ready to make a splash at FESPA Digital.
swissQprint is exhibiting at Stand J41 in Hall 3:
35% larger colour space
Orange, green and violet are now available as optional spot colours and are especially useful for printing Pantone shades. In numerical terms, they extend the colour space by 20%. The remaining 15% come from another innovation: a silk gloss printing mode that adds sheen to results. This option is also available for existing systems, requiring nothing more than a free-of-charge update to the operating software.
3D effects with thermoforming ink
Advertising materials gain impact with a depth dimension – but only when the ink used is able to make it through the process without stress whitening. The new swissQprint thermoforming ink in four colours is stretchable in any way and configurable as a supplement to the standard CMYK.
Continuous flatbed for heavyweight items
Oversized formats up to 4 m long and weighing up to 100 kg glide effortlessly across the printing table without a conveyor belt. The answer to this puzzle: a cushion of air between the vacuum table and the printing medium. The astonishing board option can be readily retrofitted to existing printing machines.
Start-to-finish workflow
swissQprint considers the needs of machine operators, too. A new live spooler puts Caldera RIP software on talking terms with the Impala's 'control centre'. This new feature displays the statuses of print jobs as well as the machine status.
A visit to the swissQprint stand promises to be a rewarding experience with live demonstrations and a wide array of printing samples on site as illustration of the abundant possibilities and extensions offered by swissQprint.
