A smart upgrade
Sharper performance, stronger market position.
Horizon, the UK-based retail design and brand communication agency, has been pushing the boundaries since introducing a Nyala flatbed printer – both in terms of productivity and sophistication. Texture printing, varnish and neon effects make their POS displays stand out even more.
Horizon introduced in-house printing with a swissQprint Impala flatbed printer in 2019. According to Andrew Moss, founder and MD, this machine was amazing and absolutely reliable. In 2025, Horizon upgraded to the larger and latest Nyala pursuing three goals:
Increase production capacity
Continue reducing energy consumption
Provide even more features and benefits for clients
Andrew Moss is excited about the fact that the Nyala 5 enables them to create things that their competitors can’t. Kyle Wassmer, Design Studio Manager, confirms that the Nyala allows them to be a lot more creative than before. Value-adding features help them to push the boundaries:
droptix creates stunning depth effects
Neon colours create bright stand-out graphics
Varnish helps to bring display elements more alive
Daren Cook, Print Manager, loves the simple and efficient swissQprint operating system and appreciates that the Nyala prints incredibly fast while delivering high quality. They can meet customer deadlines without any problems. Also, the Nyala processes all kinds of material from plastic and cardboard to glass and wood – anything.
