Why do our machines need so little electricity? The secret lies in the components that go into them. Highly energy-efficient motors, underpressure-controlled vacuum pumps and economical LED lamps keep power consumption and environmental impact low. This is true to our philosophy of minimizing resource consumption and environmental impact right from the outset.
Further factors that bear positively on the energy efficiency of swissQprint flatbed and roll to roll printers:
Transformers – necessary for voltage conversion – automatically switch off whenever the machine is inactive.
Energy from deceleration of the print head carriage is temporarily stored and reused for the next carriage movement. The technical term for this is energy recuperation. And as a bonus, the system emits little heat or other energy.

Certified high energy efficiency
The swissQprint range of printers, has undergone tests as specified by the ISO 20690 standard – and earned excellent grades. The large format printers consume little electricity in relation to their productivity, which bears positively on operating costs and the environmental balance. The average consumption is 2,2 kWh. swissQprint is the only manufacturer who can provide this certification.
